Rock Your Block: Easter Eggstravaganza

Rock Your Block v3

For the past few years we have done one big event at the church for Easter: The Egg Drop. Over the past few weeks and months I've had a lot of people ask when this event is happening this year, to which I've told them we aren't! Many are probably wondering why we would stop doing an event that so many people loved and took part in. This post will hopefully shed some light on this.

As many know, our mission statement as a church is "Connecting people to Jesus by making disciples who make disciples." This is no secret; it's on our website, we say it all the time in church, but it's one thing to say we believe something, and another thing to do something about it. Our new Easter Event, Rock Your Block, is an opportunity for us to put our money where our mouth is!

What is Rock Your Block?

Rock Your Block is an initiative for us to outreach in our neighborhoods, telling others about the gospel of Jesus Christ. We want to be people who are constantly telling people about Jesus, and we can't do that well without relationship building. Rock Your Block will give families an opportunity to speak life into other families (in the fun and safe context of Easter Eggs!)

How does it work?

Rock Your Block is carried out by the families in our church. Odds are, if you're reading this, that's you! You can be a part of this event by filling out our form (link at the bottom), coming to a training, receiving your pack of Easter fun, and setting up a date to have families come to your house. It's that simple!

What if I'm not equipped for something like this?

We understand that this can be a scary thing for some. But take heart! People much more timid than you have done scary things for God. And we at First Baptist sincerely believe that once you dive in, see other families that are doing the same thing, it won't seem so scary. Even if you're nervous about this, please feel free to fill out our form below. Filling out this form is not the same as making a full commitment. We can't stress enough that no one will force you to do this.

Where's this sign-up form you keep talking about?

I'm glad you asked! It's right here. Fill out this form and we'll reach out to you with next steps. Thanks!
